Environmental Pest Management currently services residential, commercial, and property management, while managing over 25,800 units for clients such as Crawford Communities, Plaza Properties, and Homestead America. From 2007-2010 Environmental Pest Management was named the Official Pest Control Provider for the Columbus Blue Jackets & Nationwide Arena. In 2010 we joined the Columbus Crew family and have been designated Proud Partner of the Columbus Crew and Crew Stadium.

 

Quickly outgrowing our first office we realized the need to expand and Environmental Pest Management moved its headquarters to 200 Hoff Rd. Suite P, Westerville, Ohio 43082. This state of the art building is equipped with brand new office furniture, Apple Mac computers, I-Pads, flat screen televisions, an education center, and even a real video arcade game! Our door is always open, so feel free to stop in anytime and see us.

 

In the community we work to provide free pest control services for W.A.R.M. (Westerville Area Resource Ministry). Environmental Pest Management is also the title sponsor for the Westerville Bike Race that will be held in uptown Westerville on 6/23/2012. All proceeds will be given to the Westerville Park & Recreation Department and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Jason"Bugman"Carpenter- President

Jason Carpenter is president of Environmental Pest Management, a company he founded in February 2003. He has worked in pest control for 20 years, and is active in the industry and in non-profit causes. Jason works with Dr. Susan Jones at the Ohio State University on research pertaining to experimental use of termiticide and on bed bugs. Jason also served on the board of directors for the Ohio Pest Management Association (2007-2011), He is a former member of the board of trustees for Rebuilding Together Columbus (1995-2003). For the City of Columbus, Jason has served on the West Nile Virus Committee and the Food Service Advisory Committee. Jason is a past president of the Pest Control Association of Columbus, and past president of the Polaris Am Spirit Networking group.

Memberships include: Westerville Area Chamber of Commerce, The Columbus Apartment Association, the Better Business Bureau, The Ohio Pest Management Association and the National Pest Management Association. In his spare time Jason also owns Mold Solutions and is the President of Work Order Systems - a software company.

 

 

 

 

Karen "The Boss" Badyna- Director of Operations

Karen Badyna runs Epms back of the house. From accounting to scheduling you can count on Karen to put your smallest need before all others. Karen grew up in Westerville, Ohio and graduated from Worthington Christian High School. Karen received her bachelor's degree in 1994 from Muskingum college. After completing college, Karen went on to pursue a career in management/sales for such companies as Marriott and Doubletree hotels, and Lens crafters. Karens biggest joy is raising her 9 year old daughter Kayla in Galena, Ohio.

 

 

 

 

Tom "Mr. Fix-it" Moffett- General Managerl

For Environmental Pest Management Tom is responsible for the quality assurance for all residential, commercial and property management clients. He also oversees all technicians and our vehicle fleet as well as our financials. This enables Environmental Pest Management to increase profits and in turn offer affordable services to all of our clients. With a business degree from the Ohio State University and 13 years experience in operations management, Tom is an excellent asset to our company. Tom lives inLondon with his wife, new baby girl and giant Newfoundland dog. He is a jack of all trades and among other things enjoys cooking, auto repair and fishing.

Sarah "The Beauty" Baughman- Accounts Receivable

Sarah Baughman assists EPM with all things accounting. After attending The Ohio State University, and a successful management position with Abercrombie and Fitch, Sara has stayed at home to raise her 3 beautiful children that she shares with her husband of 14 years, Jason. Sarah lives with her family, 1 dog, 2 cats, and a hamster named Hammie in Galena, Ohio. Sarah is also very active in her church as the leader of the young women's fellowship. Before moving to the Columbus area, Sarah grew up in Somerset, Ohio.

Margie's experience in Real Estate and Insurance further qualifies her desire to bring a great client experience to the table. This nickname has bee given to Kyle by our "younger generation" property management clients. They absolutely love his smile and personality when he enters their communities. Don't let charm fool you when it comes to bed bugs! Kyle has the most experience on the team when it comes to exterminating these hard to kill vermin. His three year old son is his pride and joy. They live together in Westerville next to our field office. Kyle's excellent work ethic makes him a valuable team player.

Tommy was looking for a career change and decided to take the plunge into the pest control industry. Having a degree in the Automative Technology field allows him the flexibility to "fix" our clients problems. Brandon "I Work Out" Carpenter- Pest Management Professional

Brandon is the owner's oldest son and has grown up in the family business. At a young age, Brandon and his younger brother Blake would go out in the field with their father to pitch in on Termite jobs and late night Wildlife Animal calls. His first paycheck was working everyday over his 7th grade spring break vacation to earn money for a bicycle. Brandon attended Thomas Worthington High School and lives in Worthington.
